Many people see challenge as something that hinders them, they think: “Why me? What have I done to deserve this?” It is natural to harbour feelings of frustration when things don’t go our way, however it is our responsibility to recognise that we are able to consciously change our relationship to this mindset.
We don’t have to suffer in this world, and I would go as far to say that long term suffering is a choice. Of course, we cannot avoid the challenges that come our way, to do so would be living in a fictitious reality. We do however have the ability to let go, and see challenge for what it is; a magnificent tool for learning and growth.
These experiences that don’t go our way, can be leveraged into something of great value; but first, we have to see the potential of what is being offered to us. Once we realise that every “bad” thing, every negative remark and every painful experience, offers something of great value, and really is a gift from the universe, then we can realise this full potential of what is being given to us.
It is of course not always easy to simply shrug something off, especially when the scars run deep. But see those scars as something of great beauty, as they have helped to sculpt and shape you into the person you are today. Without these experiences, you would not have the same outlook on life and therefore these moments of pain and insecurity are extremely precious and are of great benefit to the development of your soul.
